Mississauga, ON – May 15, 2007–As Canadians uncover their BBQ's, dust off their coolers and trek to cottage country for the Victoria Day weekend, Casey's Grill · Bar will celebrate the unofficial start of summer with the launch of an Asian Fusion menu. Featuring fresh flavours that are perfect for summer, the limited-time menu offers a tantalizing variety of Asian-inspired dishes and a mouth-watering list of Asian Fusion Cocktails, including a health-filled Matcha Smoothie.

As one of the hot trends for 2007, the NPD Megatrends Report listed "Asian inspired fusions of heat with savory, sweet with salty, rich coconut with fresh lime and cilantro."

Casey's new limited-time Asian-inspired menu features these tantalizing flavours in exotic mains such as Malaysian Chicken Mango Salad, Korean Fire Beef, Snow White Butterfish Fillets and Red Thai Coconut Shrimp. Monsoon Rolls and Teriyaki Glazed Back Ribs are featured as appetizers and Coconut Bali Hai and Haagen-Dazs Vanilla ice cream with a choice of Asian-inspired and traditional toppings round out the dessert menu. All Casey's traditional favourites including Casey's Classic Back Ribs, Casey's Classic Chicken Wings and Casey's Classic Bloody Caesar continue to be available during the Asian Promotion.

The highlight of the new Asian Fusion Cocktail menu is the Matcha Smoothie. Made from Matcha Green Tea that is blended with non-fat French vanilla yogurt, blueberry and raspberry purée then topped with fresh fruit, this refreshing health-filled beverage is a must-try for the summer season. Matcha is a premium, powdered, all natural Japanese Green Tea that is frequently cultivated on plantations more than 850 years old.
