Casey’s - Dine and Discover

History

Casey’s Grill · Bar is a Canadian success story that started in Sudbury in 1980 when four entrepreneurs created a place where they could gather with friends in their hometown. The founders quickly expanded the Casey’s business and developed other brands, now under the name of Prime Restaurants of Canada Inc. ("Prime Restaurants"). Nick Perpick, one of the original founders is still with the company and today holds the position of President & Chief Operating Officer.

Since its inception 26 years ago, Casey’s restaurants have built a reputation as a popular, high-quality, casual dining establishment that offers delicious food and great value.

The New Casey’s Grill • Bar

Today Casey’s Grill · Bar is a franchised restaurant chain, with 34 restaurants in Ontario and Québec, specializing in the casual dining sector. The newly rebranded Casey’s restaurant offers a contemporary dining experience that offers a variety of fresh, high-quality international cuisine and old favourites, Casey’s Classics, at casual dining prices in an environment that offers the perfect balance of comfort, style and energy.

Casey’s new menu, which was launched in early 2006, offers an innovative variety of internationally influenced cuisine and tasty, healthy choice options that suit contemporary diets to go along with Casey’s best and most popular signature items. The menu features internationally-inspired fare such as Louisiana Jambalaya, Moroccan Chicken, Shrimp Dim Sum, Asian Chicken Salad and Spicy Thai Lettuce Wraps. The menu also features Casey’s Classics such as Casey’s Classic Back Ribs and Casey’s Classic Chicken Wings based on the original family recipes from 26 years ago.

From the décor to the menu, every detail of Casey’s reinvention has been redesigned to reflect its heritage, but with a new look that’s stylish, warm and friendly with an exotic touch. An open kitchen, expanded bar, booths designed to provide a more intimate dining experience, more spacing between tables and lower lighting are some of the updated design elements.

A Canadian Success Story

The new menu combined with restaurant renovations and upgraded touch points, realized a five per cent same store sales growth in 2006 demonstrating an enthusiastic response to Casey’s new market offerings. In 2007, Prime Restaurants plans to add two new locations and to renovate six locations in line with the features of the new prototype unveiled in Milton in November 2006. Based on the demonstrated success of this strategy, along with the enthusiastic response from its customers and franchisees, Prime Restaurants is confident in its plans to continue growing the Casey's brand.
